Laminated Fabric Trays: Made In New York City!

The trays are made from vinyl (a plastic) laminated fabric under heat and pressure. To coordinate the line they have used the same cotton fabric as the linens and graphics compliment the linens as well. To enhance the beauty of the trays the backing of the Nature trays are brown and the Surya trays are white.

The hand printed fabric is laminated between ridged vinyl sheets. The shapes are cut out and then molded under high pressure and heat to form the trays and coasters. The trays are well sealed making them water and stain resistant. There is a lot a manual labor involved in making and finishing a tray which makes each piece distinct. Plus they are made in New York City. The company that makes the trays is a family business and has been run by the same family for about 40 years at the same location.

Care: Use non abrasive materials like a sponge or a cloth along with a mild detergent to clean the trays. They are not dishwasher safe as they can distort. Do not submerge in water for long periods of time.
