About the Imm Living Checkmates Salt + Pepper Shakers
In the game of chess, the king and queen are equally valuable, but the queen is allowed more moves. Both are placed together in the middle of the first rank of the chessboard.
On the dining table, salt and pepper are a traditionally paired set of condiments used to enhance the flavour of many European dishes. Like the chess pieces, salt and peppershakers are matched in a set, with white indicating salt and black for pepper.
